# Your books, inside Claude

#### A custom connector, and no file to edit

Claude adds a remote server from its own settings, so the address is the whole setup.

- Add a custom connector: In Claude's settings, paste the server URL: https://app.orla.finance/api/mcp/personal.
- Paste it whole: Claude checks the address you typed against the one the server names for itself, character for character, so a URL without /personal at the end connects to a different door.
- Ask the first question: Claude sends you to Orla's consent page, where you sign in and tick the spaces it may read.
- In Claude Code instead: The terminal has a page of its own.

#### Ask Claude the way you would ask a bookkeeper

- Compare my hosting spend this quarter with last quarter.
- Which budgets am I about to blow this month?
- Who owes whom in the flat this month?
- Run the cash forecast report and tell me the lowest point.
- Book the 12.50 EUR coffee yesterday to Restaurants.

#### It reads and records. It does not pay

- What it cannot do: Pay anyone. The payment tools are not in the list it is given, and are refused by name if asked.
- What it costs: Nothing, and it takes none of the agent seats in your plan. Reading is unmetered; what it records comes out of your plan's monthly allowance of agent writes, and the free plan has a small one.
