# Four roles from Orla: that propose and spend nothing

They take the routine of the books off your desk. What they find waits in Decisions for a person to press.

## How it works

- **Hired and let go.** An owner or an admin hires a role, pauses it, resumes it or lets it go, and picks the hour it runs each day.
- **A paragraph of instructions.** Tell a role what it should know in a few lines, never a password or a card number. It also reads your business profile once someone confirms it.
- **Proposals, never payments.** A role reads its part of the books with the hirer's rights, never wider than its job. It never approves or sends a payment and never touches cards, the team or settings.
- **A score you can read.** Each role's proposals people accepted and how many went through unchanged, month by month. The morning brief says it too.

## Questions

**Can a role pay a bill?** No. The AP clerk proposes the payment and a person presses. Inside the mandate and after its pilot, that kind of payment can go by itself, under the clause that allows it.

**How are they different from our own agents?** The AI staff come with Orla and work inside the space with the hirer's rights. Your own agents connect over MCP or the API with keys of their own. Both sit in one register, under one mandate.
