# Invoices and quotes: closed when the money lands

Markdown twin of that page. Append `.md` to any Orla page URL to get one.

Bill clients from Orla and see who owes what, one line per client with its next step.

## How it works

- **Sent with a way to pay.** Each invoice carries a link to pay by card through your Stripe, by transfer or in stablecoins. When the money lands, the invoice marks itself paid.
- **Reminders on a schedule.** Three days before the due date, on it, then three and seven days late. A promised day is written on the client's line, and the cash forecast counts on it.
- **A quote becomes the invoice.** A quote has its own numbers and a day its price stands until. When the client says yes, one press cuts the invoice with the same lines.
- **Your schedules, the clerk's proposals.** Reminders and a contract's invoices go on the schedule you set. Anything else the AR clerk would send waits in the Inbox for a press, and sending it without one is turned on per kind after its pilot.

## Questions

**Who does the client see the mail from?** Your name is in the subject, and a reply reaches your billing email. The From line stays Orla on purpose, so nobody can dress a mail about money as someone else.

**What if an invoice went out wrong?** A sent invoice is never edited. A credit note corrects it as a second document, and lowering what a client owes past your line waits for a second person.
