# A supplier's invoice: written when none is coming

Ad platforms, marketplaces and contractors paid by transfer often send nothing. Orla writes their invoice from your payment, and nobody is sent it.

## How it works

- **One card per supplier.** On Expenses with no paper, Write the supplier's invoices asks the assistant, for everybody or for one supplier. Each card names the contact, or sets the rows aside with No paper is coming.
- **Shaped by their own invoice.** An invoice of theirs already in the books is the sample, or you attach one. The new ones continue their numbering, wording and tax, and the Write them card shows numbers and totals before the press.
- **Dated the day money left.** Each one carries the payment's amount and currency with the tax inside, as a PDF in Documents and on the payment, paid in Bills and marked Self-billed. A supplier that charges daily gets one per closed month, dated its last day.
- **Steps aside for the real one.** Put the supplier's own invoice on the payment later and the self-billed one is voided, so the tax counts once. Put it back removes a whole batch with its files.

## Questions

**Will the tax office accept it?** Not always, and the card says so before you press: a tax office may refuse a self-billed invoice without a self-billing agreement, or without the supplier's tax number. Your accountant knows which applies to you.

**Who can write them, and on which plan?** Anyone with the Manage invoices permission, on Pro and above. Up to fifty per press, and each counts toward the month's document limit like an invoice you issue.
