# Idle stablecoins: earning, with the keys kept

Lend idle stablecoins on Aave from your own wallet. Aave is not a bank deposit and is not insured: what you lend there is at risk.

## How it works

- **Keys stay with you.** Aave v3 positions per wallet on Ethereum, Arbitrum and Polygon. Orla prepares each step unsigned and never holds a key in the clear.
- **Today's rate, no promise.** Each asset shows what a year would earn at today's rate. Rates move every day, and the figure is not a promise.
- **Checked before you sign.** The health factor before and after, and a quorum on the large ones. Withdrawing all approves only what the position is worth.
- **Borrowing behind a watch.** Liquidation risk is watched hourly, and borrowing stays off without that watch. A warning names the two ways out: repay part or add funds.

## Questions

**Is the money insured?** No. Aave is a public lending pool run by software. It is not a bank deposit and it is not insured.

**Is a deposit an expense?** Not in the books: it is a lending deposit, and taking it back is not a purchase. Against the mandate it counts as the position's spend, so a budget still holds.
