# Every connection: says what it reads and writes

URL: https://www.orla.finance/en/product/space/connections
Markdown twin of that page. Append `.md` to any Orla page URL to get one.

Banks, exchanges, payout rails, wallets, accounting systems and mail, each with its health in plain words.

## How it works

- **Sorted by why you connect.** Balances, sales, paying out, paper coming in, clients and chats. Each card says what Orla reads, what it never does and what you need in hand.
- **Read first, write by name.** Bank feeds and exchange keys only read, and a key that can trade or withdraw is refused. A payout rail on your own bank writes only what its form lists, checked at the bank before it is saved.
- **Quiet means broken.** A connection with no data for more than three days is no longer counted healthy anywhere. It lands in the Inbox under Exceptions, and one press syncs or reconnects it.
- **Keys stay out of the chat.** Ask the assistant to connect a service and its panel opens over the chat. Keys are typed into the panel, kept encrypted and never shown again.

## Questions

**Does connecting a bank let Orla move money?** No. A bank feed only reads. Only a payout rail you connect yourself can write, with exactly the rights its form lists, and its payments still follow your signing rules.

**Is live sync extra?** Live bank and exchange sync is on every plan. The plan counts the rows synced in a month, not the connections, and the page shows how many are used.
