What each coin cost
after three swaps, and the year sealed
Orla keeps the cost of every coin you hold and seals the year for your accountant. How your tax law treats it is their call.

Money
Cost basis of every coin, the year's disposals and the year's seal. Not tax advice.

How it works
Cost basis and tax
in four lines
- One method, the whole history
- FIFO, LIFO or HIFO, with the date and cost of every lot kept through each swap. Switching restates every year, so it is refused while a year is sealed.
- Priced at its minute
- A trade takes the price of its minute. A move between your own wallets is not income. Orla books a deposit on Aave as a move, not a sale; how your tax law treats it is your accountant's call.
- Book against the chain
- For every wallet and asset, what the book holds beside what the address holds, and the difference. A roll-forward shows the year adds up.
- A seal that tells
- The year closes in four steps: what is not ready, does it reconcile, the figures, the seal. A sealed year keeps its filed figures and says when a recount drifts.
Questions
Cost basis and tax
the short answers
Does Orla file our crypto taxes?
No. It keeps the cost basis and the year's figures as files your accountant imports. The filing and the advice stay with them.
What about coins that came from outside?
They wait under Cost basis to fill in. You state what they cost, and the line is marked as stated by you in every export.
